Orton Gillingham

Participants will learn Orton-Gillingham’s multi-sensory teaching methodology specifically designed for upper elementary or older students who require foundational reading skills and continue to struggle in literacy development.

Hill Institute: Foundations of Literacy

Participants will learn how to provide effective reading instruction in the five key areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and text comprehension.

Earn five microcredentials, one for each key area of reading

Hill Institute: HillRAP Certification

Participants will learn a research-based, individualized, structured approach to improving reading for students who are struggling including how to use an ongoing formative assessment cycle that enables a student to track progress on a daily basis.

Supporting Students with Low Incidence

Participants will learn how to maximize classroom set-up and scheduling, develop a scope and sequence using LEAP Connect standards, implement progress monitoring systems and data analysis, and more.

Supporting Students with Autism

Participants will learn the TEACCHing principles to teach individuals with ASD skills in the areas of academics, communication, independence, social and leisure, vocational, and coping strategies.
