Founder, Ashley Heard Consulting LLC

Ashley started her career as a Teach For America 2006 corps member in Washington, DC. After teaching, Ashley joined the staff of Teach For America, first managing the logistics of one of the organization’s summer teacher training programs then working as a program director charged with supporting secondary special education teachers. In 2011, Ashley moved to Chicago to attend Loyola Law School. During law school she worked with Chicago Public Schools as an Education Pioneer Fellow. She later served as a Charter Growth Manager at the Illinois Network of Charter Schools where she helped teams plan charter schools for their communities. After law school, Ashley moved to her hometown of Baton Rouge to serve as the Director of Strategy and Innovation at New Schools for Baton Rouge. Today, Ashley is the founder of Ashley Heard Consulting where she supports nonprofits in strategic planning during startup and growth, communications, and fundraising.

Ashley earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt, her masters degree in special education from American University, and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago.
